THE ANNOUNCEMENT CEREMONY OF THE 2024 GOODBOOKS AWARDS

Building upon its sustained endeavor to illuminate progressive trends in reading, writing, translation, and publishing, the 2024 GoodBooks Awards will be officially announced on the morning of Sunday, October 6, 2024. The event continues its commitment to honoring cultural values and disseminating knowledge through outstanding books.

Established in 2007, and with more than seventeen years of dedicated contribution to the promotion of reading under the guiding mission of “refining the essential and discarding the inessential,” the GoodBooks Awards has become a widely anticipated cultural and educational event. It consistently draws the attention of intellectuals, scholars, artists, business leaders, educators, media professionals, and, most notably, devoted readers.

The GoodBooks Awards is the first independent, non-governmental book award in Vietnam of its kind with broad national scope, with selections made by both scholars and readers. It is jointly organized on an annual basis by the GoodBooks Initiative (founded in 2007 by committed intellectuals), the IRED Institute of Education (an independent, non-profit educational organization), and the OpenEdu Initiative (an open online knowledge platform). Since 2020, the GoodBooks Awards has been held biennially in order to ensure a more rigorous and qualitative selection process.

In 2024, the Award will continue to publicly announce the results of its selection to the press and the reading public across seven categories: Research, Education, Economics, Management, Literature, Children’s Books, and New Discoveries. The event also serves as an occasion for the reading community to exchange perspectives and share meaningful insights, thereby contributing to the preservation of reading culture and the continued dissemination of knowledge.
